When man’s thinking about the Black Forest (German: Schwarzwald), thinking first of all about darkness and mystery. Or maybe fairy tale? Because this forest is often associated with the Brothers Grimm fairy tales. In my case, the Black Forest represents a winter idyll with a lot of snow and picturesque scenery. It’s a part of the magic. I really love a winter escape to such a beautiful place.

During the winter you can spend the days sledding, skiing or simply going on long walks through the snowy forest. Generally, I like to walk, because I can explore, wander and take a lot of interesting and amazing photos. Also, for the lover of history and culture, the Black Forest is a good choice. A large number of castles, palaces, churches and museums are available in this region. For example, you can buy Schlosscard (Castle card) for only 24 Euros and visit 24 different historical monuments.
