We’ve spent a long weekend in Paris and I can say It’s was magical. One of my favourite places. It’s a large city with a lot of possibilities to do and to see and from my experience, the best is doing what you want, without guide books etc. For example, I spent a lot of time wandering around the city (one day 32km) and exploring.
First of all, we visited Louvre, a fantastic building that allows navigation through art. After a few hours of wandering through the museum, we decided to take a break in the typical Parisian café and enjoy the beauty around us. Notre Dame was our next choice – free entry but be prepared for the crowds. The perfect example of the Gothic style and of course often used the fabulous north rose window. We also did a trip along the river, enjoyed the building and the best view of the Eiffel Tower. When I already mentioned the tower can say that he impressed me with his greatness and grace. And maybe the best place to capture a photo of the tower is Trocadéro. Also, there are other places like Champs de Mars, from tour Montparnasse, from the Arc de Triomphe, next to the Point d’Iéna etc. Montmartre and Sacre Coeur were obligatory on our list… just like something out of Amélie film. A large number of possibilities are offered by Paris and we are trying to really experience them.
For the end, I recommend buying the Paris Pass ticket. It’s really useful and profitable. And an unavoidable visit to cafes and pastry shops such as Odette, Ladurée and Café de Flore. Definitely, I can’t wait to go back!
